Sattar&Co. advised an internationally renowned publicly traded fashion company on the legal implications of changing the job title of company personnel to indicate the job function/responsibility of each employee. This global initiative was undertaken in order to minimize internal hierarchy and indicate the contact point for the respective functions, without any change to the job duties, salary or benefits. Our tasks involved reviewing their policy in accordance with Bangladeshi employment laws. The firm has also advised the client on employment laws of Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as issuing opinions on stoppage of work, cessation of employment, and coping with Government directives.
