Sajid Hossain
Sajid Hossain is an Associate at Sattar&Co. Sajid began his legal career at Sattar&Co. and gained his preliminary exposure to corporate and commercial law practice at the firm. On completing his Master’s Degree in Corporate Law (MCL) from the University of Cambridge, Sajid returned to Sattar&Co. as a full-fledged Associate.
Sajid is admitted to practice law in Bangladesh. At Sattar&Co., he routinely assists in advising both local and international clients across a range of key practice areas which include, inter alia, M&A, employment, projects and energy, oil and gas, cross-border transactions, disputes and arbitration matters and various other corporate advisory and litigious matters.
As part of the team, Sajid has been involved in a number of significant matters and transactions, which include, inter alia, advising a globally reputed investment conglomerate on complex tax law issues pertaining to multiple turnkey projects in Bangladesh; a leading Bangladeshi corporate giant on the share acquisition and structuring of an SPV for the implementation of a power project; a local company engaged in oil and gas pipeline construction works in a cross-border contractual dispute with its employer in a turnkey project; advising a leading international airline on queries pertaining to various information technology, telecommunications, e-commerce and data protection laws of Bangladesh; assisting in representing a local buying house in an arbitration application filed against it before the High Court Division.
